The depth level of the chemical peel will determine your peeling timeframe. Your skin should begin to peel 3 to 10 days after your chemical peel. Your skin should not peel immediately after treatment. Most chemical peels will cause your skin to peel 3 to 5 days after treatment. Many clients peel again and quite possibly a third time. This is why it is mandatory to wait several weeks before applying another treatment or another peel. Failure to give your skin time to fully recover will result in a very uncomfortable result. Be patient. Your skin did not get this way over night so allow ample time to treat your skin to get the best results possible!!! Make sure to use sunscreen every day following your appointment. Your skin will be especially thin and delicate soon after the chemical peel, so using a high broad-spectrum SPF is advised. Try to avoid extremely hot water and situations following your treatment as well to avoid damaging your skin. Simple, nourishing creams and lotions are recommended during your recovery. Your skin will be more sensitive than you are used to shortly after the chemical peel, so be aware of that when purchasing products to use after your appointment.
